AIRMEM:
AIRMEM is a lightweight membrane made partially from coffee oil harvested from recycled coffee grounds. This material combines advanced material technology with more environmentally friendly manufacturing and brings with it the natural odour-inhibiting properties of coffee grounds – for optimal wearing comfort. The membrane is odour-inhibiting, breathable, windproof and water-repellent.

S.CAFÉ:
To make further progress on the subject of sustainability, Zimtstern uses the environmentally friendly technology S.CAFÉ: a technical fibre composite made of polyester fibres. Coffee oil is extracted from the waste product coffee grounds, which are produced from coffee beans during conventional coffee brewing. This is then mixed with a granulate, which is basically the spinneret liquid. This gives the polyester improved properties, such as optimised odour-resistance, faster drying and a natural antibacterial effect. The S.CAFÉ yarn is then created from the spinneret liquid.
This means that the constantly renewable raw material as a textile component meets the high quality requirements in a natural way.

WHAT-YOU-WEAR-IF-YOU-CARE:
In addition to the functional properties, the choice of materials and the ecological aspects are very important for Zimtstern. Efforts are being made to increasingly use natural, renewable fibres from controlled organic cultivation. Particularly sustainable products, most of which are made from renewable raw materials from sustainable cultivation, are therefore labelled “What-you-wear-if-you-care” at Zimtstern.
